How to Get Started with Counseling

Congratulations on taking your first step toward better health! The first step is often the hardest and we recognize that it can sometimes feel overwhelming to determine a course of action, especially so if you are new to the process. We love plans that promote healing and growth, and the following is our recommended course of action for jump-starting your well-being and living fully alive:

  1. Peruse the information on our website; specifically the sections about Carolyn and detailing our services and investment information. Here you can learn about our philosophies, approaches and what is necessary to pursue a productive counseling relationship.
  2. Call Embodied Counseling at 720-722-1434 or fill out the contact form hereWe will try to answer your call or inquiry within 24-48 business hours and often reply much sooner. During our initial contact, Carolyn will get some preliminary information about you and your counseling goals and answer any questions you might have about me or the counseling process in general. This will help ensure that we will be the right fit and hopefully ease any of the natural anxiety that can arise before meeting up face to face.
  3. Schedule an appointment. 
  4. Complete the online counseling forms that Carolyn sends you after the phone consultation before your first session. We encourage you to take your time and be thoughtful when completing these as they are a great opportunity to identify your concerns and goals for treatment so that we can make the best use of our time together.
  5. Arrive at your appointment where we can begin the process of working together to meet your goals for an embodied life!
