Brainspotting Therapy

Do you have upsetting thoughts, feelings, emotional reactions or body sensations pop up unexpectedly leaving you feeling horribly but you don’t know how to stop them? Are you tired of the same story playing out in your life relationally but no matter how you try to change yourself, you can’t help it?

These sort of issues arise out of upsetting experiences of our past that are improperly stored in our brains and bodies. Because of the way God wired us, your brain automatically tries to understand and make sense of your current life and immediate experiences, relationships, faith, etc. through the filter of your memory (your past). So your past is constantly, automatically being drawn upon as your brain interprets the present moment (you couldn’t stop it if you wanted to!). The good news is that Brainspotting harnesses the way that God made our brains and bodies to help process and release emotional pain thereby getting to the root of your current symptoms to take the energy/drive out from the symptom and find relief. This is an accelerated healing technique that is unlike traditional talk therapy you may have experienced in the past and will challenge you to connect with your body and emotions in a new way.
