Beginning the journey toward healing and wholeness is often the hardest part—especially when you feel everything so deeply. If you’re overwhelmed or unsure of where to begin, know this: there is no perfect way to start, only the willingness to listen inward.

We honor your sensitivity, your story, and your longing to live more fully alive. Whether you’re curled up on the couch, in a quiet room between work calls, or anywhere you can catch a breath—online counseling allows you to show up just as you are. Here’s how to begin:


1. Listen Inward, Then Explore Outward

Take your time wandering through this website. Let your intuition guide you. Start with the About Carolyn section to get a sense of who I am and how I work. Then explore our Services and Investment pages to learn about the body-based, trauma-informed practices I offer, and how therapy can unfold—online and at your pace.


2. Reach Out When You’re Ready

You can call Embodied Counseling at 720-722-1434 or complete the contact form. I do my best to respond within 24–48 business hours, often much sooner. During our initial phone call, I’ll get to know a little about you, your hopes for therapy, and answer any questions you have about the online counseling process. This gentle beginning helps ease any anxiety and ensures it feels like the right fit.


3. Schedule & Prepare with Intention

If we both feel aligned, we’ll schedule your first virtual session. You’ll receive a few reflective forms to complete beforehand. These aren’t just paperwork—they’re a space to begin naming what matters: your concerns, your longings, your goals for this season of your life.


4. Show Up as You Are—from Wherever You Are

Online counseling creates space for healing from the comfort of your own environment. There’s no need to drive, dress up, or rearrange your world to fit therapy in. Just arrive as you are, and we’ll begin. Together, we’ll gently listen to your body, untangle old patterns, and help you reconnect to your truest self.
